Best way to lift truck w/o touching suspension??
What is the most popular mod for lifting a stock 2500? Its pretty tall as is and I would love to add some bigger tires. Im wondering what tires to get and what size?

Only thing you can do without touching the suspension is a body lift. I personally would not suggest that though. I took the body lift off of my old truck that the previous owner had installed. It took care of a lot of issues that I was having with it that you wouldn't think a body lift could cause.

Have you thought about just doing a 2'' leveling kit in the front? Some Ram Truck owners have trouble with the larger tires rubbing in the front, and I believe this solves it for most.
There are several brands out there. I have this kit and it seems to work great. It makes the truck sit up in the front like it should from the factory. Pics in my gallery.

Mine is stock height except for the Hell Bent Steel Leveling kit and 285/70/17 BFG AT Tires. Pics in my gallery.
I am not sure if that is what you are looking for or not. I just didn't like how the truck looked "low" in the front. I pull a small 5th wheel Trailer, so "jacking" my truck up is not an option.
Hope that helps.

By the way, if big tires are your thing...........I believe you can run 315s with this and have minimal or no tire rub. I don't know from personal experience, because I have only run stock tires or now the 285s. The 285's certainly don't rub, and wouldn't rub even if the leveling kit wasn't on it.

From my first reply: You can run 315's under your truck without modifying the suspension.
Honestly, do people even carry on conversations here, or simply read the first post and start replying to that without consideration to other posts that have been made?

But, you can't run 315's without some modification, (with at least a leveling kit or lift). OR it will rub! I have read that over and over and over here on this forum.

Ok. Im not sure if I understand what we are "arguing" about here. I admit that im a novice and have little experience with suspension stuff.
But he asked what size tire he could run w/o mods. You said 315s. Lots and Lots and Lots of guys on here have put 315s on their stock trucks and the tires rub. (ask Dodgezilla who went back to 285s).
I suggested he look at a leveling kit. That MAY solve the problem with minimal modification and allow the use of 315s without rubbing. Personally, I don't know.
So do the 315's rub or not on a STOCK truck? You say no. Everybody else says yes. Personally, I don't know.
