Maybe I'm missing something...
...If it's and 07 wouldn't it all be covered under your warranty?
Even if you bought it used it should be transferable shouldn't it?

On a 07 powertrain was 3/36. Engine and fuel system was to 100k. Either way a BENT housing would be tough to get under warranty.They'd say " call your insurance company"

'05 was the last year of the powertrain warranty. starting in '06 there is a 5 year/100,000 mile Cummins warranty- everything else that used to be covered by the 7 year/70,000 mile powertrain warranty is included in the 3 year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty only.

Ya warranty coverage for me was a no-go, not gonna happen. They can say its from abuse, or collision of some sort (pothole, ditch etc). I went through my insurance company to take care of it. If you replace it with a stock unit it will cost a total of at least $2000-$2500 keeping it completely stock. Ive got $6500 in my front axle, but I said what the hell and get everything done so nothing will bend/break again.
