backed up into a light pole...
MAN AM I A IDIOT.....last night i went to watch a hockey team play in my area. i went in reverse to back into a parking spot and usually i go all the way back in a spot so i dont stick out. this time i heard a BANG :-[. my heart dropped, got out of the truck went to the back of the truck, it is a very tiny dimple in the bumper but that little dimple will bother me. anyone know where i can get either a new stock bumper or a aftermarket cooler looking, stronger one for a resonable price.
thanks guys

Sorry, I don't know where you can get another bumper. Suggestion: live with the dent because sooner or later (propably sooner) you will have another one. These bumpers are made from paper thin soft metal and dent when a large skeeter hits them. All it will take is some little old lady parking by ear and you will have another ding or two. Unfortunately dems de facts of life. Wait until you get the first scratch....

If you are not worried about replacing it then take an hour and see if you can bang that dint out of there with a hammer and dolly. I pretty much did the same thing and was able to get 90% of the dint out. You can only see where it is if you look at it from the right angle......... or was it the left angle.. ;D

Sounds like a good excuse to get a Ranch Hand or a Buck Stop. If not I will trade you mine for one of those ;D
Reall that stinks that you dented the bumper but I think that I have to agree with Mexstan get a few more on it and then do something. Sorry bout the dent.

Re:backed up into a light pole...
I somehow got a fair sized long narrow dent, more or a shallow crease, in the rear bumper of my '98. Just lived with it for a while. Then, after really cleaning the truck up nice, which made the dent look worse. I fixed it. Took a short piece of 2X4 and my three pound hammer. Shoved the 2X4 in on top of the dent and pounded it out. Not hard and came out perfect. Not a mark in it!
