Avic-D2 install in my 06...Need info/pics
I've been putting this off for a while now. What all do I need to install in my truck? I plan on using the stock speakers for the time being and will upgrade later. Looking to install this as inexepensively as possible.
Where can I find the double din mount..I really do not want to install the factory nav bezel if I can avoid it.
Do i need anything other than the double din bezel and wiring harness? What about hooking up the factory speakers? Do/Dont's?
Anyone have any pics?
Thanks in advance

It is going to add up unfortunately.
I got the Double Din Mounting bracket with the D2 from Crutchfield. The original Dumbo Ear bezel would not fit over the brackets.
The factory Nav Bezel makes for a Clean/Easy install.
The other big expense is going to be the wiring adapter. The only way I am aware of to get the needed speed signal is with a CAN Adapter. The adapter also provides IGN On Control (run a relay), Reverse, Lights On, and Parking Brake signals. I finally got an operation adapter on eBay. The part# is CHYAH05 from either Peripheral or another adapter company. I think it was about $70.
Hope that helps.
Just got my BTB-200 Bluetooth adapter hooked up today. Very sweet.
