Auxilliary/transfer Fuel Tank

Has anyone out there come across somebody that makes a pair of aux. or transfer tanks that will mount in the bed of the truck over the wheel wells?

I know that they make tanks that fit across the bed, but they all take up usable bed space which diminish the effective haulability.

A set of tanks that would mount over the wheel humps, on each side of the bed would still allow the full 4+ feet with of the bed to be usable for the entire length of the bed.

I have a rough design for a "saddle bag" type set of tanks that will fit on each side of the bed, over the wheel humps and will provide a combined extra capacity of about 30-35 gallons, but I would rather not have to re-invent the wheel if they already exist.

Any help out there???

If youre worried about bed space just get a replacement fuel tank that goes in the OEM location. AeroTank makes replacement tanks up to 75 gallons, that gives you the extra 30 gallons you would get with saddle tanks and leaves you all your bed space.

AeroTank replacement for the OEM tank has been working great for me since January. I've only had to fill up 16 times since I got the tank and I have put on over 15K miles. That includes towing the trailer a few times.

The only things about extended fuel intervals are the cost to fill up (when you do) and I started adding a biocide since the fuel is in the tank for so long without turnover.

I really like the extended range while towing.
