Auxillary Bed fuel tank wiring setups?
hey guys,
just bought a 51gal fuel tank / tool box combo for the bed. It's going to be used as a transfer tank to fuel other vehicles. I was wondering if anyone tied into the existing wiring under the bed that is switched by something in the cab. Sure, I could run a switch into the cab & tie into the battery but something "stealth" would be neat and clean. I bought a 1/4 hp FillRite pump.

Do Know how many amps the pump draws?? (It should say on the pump motor.
Why put a pump on?? Road diesel will get kinda expensive in a tractor or some offroad equipment!!

Ouch home heating oil $$$$$
Depending on how much it draws mabey hook it into your trailer lights. Then if you want to use your pump turn on your parking lights and then turn on your pump.
But if it takes to much juice you are better off going to the battery.
