Ash Tray/Change Compartment

Hows it going fellas. I have a quick question to ask you all.

This afternoon I was comming home from the store and I opend up my ash tray(I don't smoke so I put change & whatnot in it) and as I was going to close it and I think one of the little tabs that keeps it closed broke. I tried to close it at least 50 times w/ no luck of keeping it shut. It's not realy a big deal but i'd like to be able to close it so nothing slides out of it while driving.

So my question is, anyone else ever experience this? Since my truck is covered under warranty still i'll have to find the free time to take it in & have them replace it.

God I feel picky about doing that, but ohwell.

You can take the whole thing out easily. See your owners manual.

Mine also broke about 6 months old. It is still that way. I just leave it open all the time. Great place to put my cell phone

About the third time I used the ashtray it quit working. Had the service guys look at it when I went in for the new customer appreciation dinner. They said that it is a problem, replaced the door assembly, no charge.

Customer appreciation dinner? How come I wasen't envited to one of these?

Anyways, I checked for coins in there and that's not the issue. One of the tabs that retains it looks broke, next time I have my oiled changed i'll have them replace it.

Unhappy

Same thing happened to my truck's ash tray. Took it in no problem free of charge this time. But now it's out of warranty.
