Anyone w/ 05 & High idle enabled...
#31
I tried a couple of dealerships and they both wanted around $80 to do he procedure, since the TSB is for a 2004 and not the 2005's. I've given up hope at this point, unless someone knows of a decent dealer in SE Michigan.

It's in the owner's manual as a dealer activated option. Look it up & point it out to your dealer. My dealer enabled mine. I'm in Florida so when I called the diesel tech was skeptical, he looked up the procedure and when I arrived it was a 20 min deal.

And, yes, I already wrote a thank-you letter to be included with the copy of my letter of complaint to DC to the Jeep dealership. I already know all the parts guys, and have a beer now and then with the Service Manager prior to this one who left due to a neurological disease. The parts Manager was also a tech for Jeep during the AMC years and has helped me a lot in researching past, hard to find information on the older Jeeps.
Why I didn't think of going to them in the begining, I don't know.
