Anyone used POR15 as a rust proofing?

Any of you guys ever used POR15 on the undersides of your trucks? I saw that harbor freight has some cheap paint sprayers that will work to spray the underside of a vehicle (nozzle is attached to the can via a hose so you can work at different angles). I’m thinking of cleaning my truck really well and spraying the underside.
I did some searches but didn’t come up with too much. Looks like folks in Canada have a good company up there that does it, but I’m thinking about moving back to MN or MI and I’m scared for my CTD with the rust.

I was thinking about it when I rebuilt my Dads 86 F-150 it seemed to much hassel using it,I just went to wally world and bought some rubber undercoating in spray cans and it's still on there after a year, even though he uses it up the mountains alot.

I did use a wire wheel on a drill to remove the rust and scuff the frame little.

I loved the way por15 kept the bumper i fab'ed on my jeep clean. just not sure how well it would work on a pre-coated surface like the underside of my truck

IIRC por15 is a rust converter used mostly by restorers. It is also super expensive. I agree with Pav1973 and just use some spray can undercoating. For the cost, you can reapply as needed and still be way ahead.

Well that Por 15 is expensive but also works. Problem is if you ever get any on you you will have to wait till your skin molts to get it off. However, have used it with great results....

If you want to protect your underbody and the rest of your truck from rust forget POR 15. Yes it works very well for certain things (your skin incl.) but you'll want a product that creeps into all the cracks and crevices, places POR won't. RustCheck, CorrosionFree and Krown are examples of great products, there are many up here depending where you are. But products like these are the ONLY way to prevent rust from winter salt. I have my truck undercoated every 18 months (Cor.Free) and comes with lifetime warranty against rust-through, door bottom seams, tail-gate, hood, brake lines, etc. All the places where usually the worst.
