Anyone running 17x9 Eagle 101's with 315/70-17 tires?

I'm looking at getting some shiny summer wheels and bigger tires for my truck.
I currently have 265/70-17 Toyo AT's on stock silver wheels which look really small on the truck.
I'm currently looking at the 17x9 Eagle 101 (or 102) series and I would like to run the 315/70-17 tires, either Goodrich AT's or Goodyear Extreme AT's.
I understand the backspacing is only 4 5/8" on the Eagle wheels but I have a set of Bushwacker extend a flares at the paint shop getting painted right now to handle the tires sticking out of the body a bit.
My truck currently has an all stock suspension.
So will the Eagles work with 315 tires without rubbing?
My other option is getting a set of Chrome H2 wheels and opening the center holes and modifying the dodge center cap which also look very nice.
If anyone has any pics of Eagle or other brand wheels with 4 5/8" backspacing
with bigger tires please post them.

Thanks!

I was too cheap and I really liked the look of the factory wheels so I just used them & went with 315/70-17 Coopers. I've had this combo for 2 years. They rub a little on a full lock but otherwise I'm really happy. They're wearing fantastic but are a little slick in the rain.

Here are some FOTOS....

Good luck!

Thanks.
The pics look great!
The chrome stock wheels do look very nice.
My truck has the silver aluminum wheels which I'm not real fond of.
I plan to sell off the current 265 Toyo AT's and mount some larger mud and snow tires for winter driving.
So I would like to buy a new set of summer wheels and tires, I'm trying to look at all my options.
The chrome factory wheels are selling for about the same price as affordable aftermarket wheels but they might have too much backspacing as I would like the tires to stick out of the body a little bit to make the fender flares look in proportion.

I know exactly the wheels you have. I'm luke-warm on them too. I'd rather have the steel / chrome wheels with chrome caps. You can get those off eBay for around $300 to $350 delivered.... Here's an example:

The polished alloys are around $500.

I'm just not a fan of aftermarket wheels but I know what you mean about yours. I had a 2004 and traded into this one mainly because of the tranny (wanted a stick and shouldn't have bought the 2004 w/Auto and didn't want to upgrade the torque converter, etc...) but a minor upgrade was to get these polished wheels.....

By the way -- The factory wheels are what, 8" wide? The OFFSET is 1.7" believe which means they're off center by that amount and therefore 5.7" is the backspacing if I'm correct. So if you go 1" wider plus 1" less in the backspacing, you're looking at 1.5" more sticking out (1/2 1" for the extra inch of width + 1" less backspacing). This of course, is assuming that I'm not doing a math-brain-fart.

So to me, the issue is whether 1.5" sticking out with the 17 x 9 is a big deal. It might be & you might not like it.... You could always get Powerwagon Type fender flares....

Good luck!
