Anyone have coils and leafs that are progressive rate????
Im looking for a softer ride. Fall through Spring I use my truck as a daily driver. Summer I just haul a 18' Ski boat. Im not looking for caddilac quality, just somethng better than juming around over every bump in the road . I already have a 6'' RockRunner SuperLift with Bilsteins all the way around. Thinking about getting new progressive rate coils and leaf packs befor i blow a good amount of change on a set of long arm kits. Anyone notice a good difference with progressive rate coils or leaf packs

72 Deville sounds good, but the entire system is a litle too pricy for me. What kind of coils comes with the kit. Were the coils muti-rate or progressive-rate?

I've got a full Carli setup that includes progressive coils and leafs.
Best money I've ever spent.
If you just do springs or shocks, you won't get the results you want. And off-the-shelf shock valving is only "so good".
When you get shocks that are specifically valved for your springs, as well as the weight of the truck, you'll see huge improvements in ride quality. That's why no one can really compare to what Carli or Thuren are offering.
If you've never had a chance to ride in a Carli or Thuren truck, and are thinking about suspension mods, you really owe it to yourself to try to test ride a truck with one of their systems.
I had a 21" daycruiser, never even added air to my bags when pulling it. But when I pull the toy hauler, or a bed full of firewood, that's when airbags come in handy.
Air pressure does make a difference, as posted above.
I run 315 Yokos, 50psi front/38psi rear when empty (they max out at 65 psi).
I do air up when I tow/haul a load.

What Load range and ply count do you have on your tires?

I get no edge wear at all on my rear tires if I go much above 40 psi without a load, only the center of the tire has much contact with the pavement when I run too much air pressure in them.
When I'm not towing, I don't like the harshness of an E Rated tire, but if I towed a lot more weight then I'd definitely run them. My toy hauler completely maxed-out is only 10,500 lbs on the axles, plus whatever the tongue weight is.
