Looks like about $27-28k in my neighborhood. I'd want to talk to the previous owner before making my decision. Safe bet the dealer can't tell you much.

I'd wonder why they were traded in with such low mileage, driveline vibe?
I almost bought an F250 6 Liter with low miles and a decent pricetag.
I'm sure glad this site taught me better!

At least they'll all have the 7/70 warranty.
Be sure and check the vin's and drive em oner 70 mph.

8mpg, where did you buy a loaded truck for that??? I'd sell mine in a minute and rebuy
Local Dealer here in TX. Bonham Chrysler/Dodge and Randall Noe both will do awesome deals here. I bought mine at Grapevine Dodge but its my 2nd vehicle...they cut a deal pretty quick.

The 6 Liter is the worst mistake you would ever make. Id rather pay $34k for a used cummins before I bought a 6L powerchoke.

thanks a bunch guys, I've found a couple thanks to some guys on here, I'd trust a fellow DTR member long before a used car salesman any day!!!!! I really like the blue truck, & am gonna try & get some underhood shots & see if theres a possibility that the switch on the shifter might have been for an E-brake, if it is in fact a O/D unit I don't think I want the truck, like some of you said, more often than not the splitter would have been installed for a reason, don't mind if a truck has been used, but I don't want a hotshot rig either??? so I guess I'll talk with them a little more & keep an eye out for something compareable for less $$$ thanks again, Dusty

Lets try to keep it real here. There are many 6.0's out there that are very nice trucks.......... I had one for two years. I'm kind or suprised at the amount of bitterness towards those trucks. They must have handed out a spankin or two.

By the way, I just picked up my 04.5 Laramie 4x4 for $30,300 with 5,700 miles on the odometer. I thought it was a pretty smokin deal especially for up north in AK. $35,000 is definetly steep for that truck with almost 50K on it.

man..I have heard nothin but horror stories in real life, not just the internet. I know a diesel tech at Ford (locally) and he encourages people to buy them so he can make some money doing commission work. He personally drives a cummins I was on the road from DFW, TX to Elkheart, Indiana. Talked to a guy at the gas station, he was driving a 6.0. His fleet had 6 6.0's, 2 were in the shop at the time, one completely blew a motor. His truck he was driving was leaking water out the radiator, a gal every fuel up. One other truck in his fleet was currently stranded on the side of the road waiting on him to come pick him up. Thats some bad luck along with a poor product. Its a real hit or miss with the 6.0...

I will agree, that's one of the reasons I didn't consider one this time around. I wanted to buy used but I would not get into a 6.0 unless there was plenty of warranty left.

called about the blue truck again today & the button is for an exhaust brake, I had the salesman go out & take a look at it, & it is geared 3:73 which is a plus, & for sure has adj. pedals & steering wheel mounted radio controls, & over the phone I got them down to $30,950, so I'm thinking I may get it for a touch under $30k possibly???? I really like the blue color & the dark interior, & spending this much $ I figure I may as well go ahead & get what I want the first time around, so we'll see what happens from here, the E-brake has really scored some brownie points for it though LOL, Dusty

Another price comparison -

Last week I bought a mint condition 19000 mile 05, 3500, 4X4, quad cab, leather Laramie with every option available except navigation system.

Extras included dodge nerf bars, bed cover, and line-x spray in bed liner.

The truck also has the bumper-2-bumper 7 year 70K mile warranty.

I bought the truck for 32.

I had been working dealers on an 06 when I happened on this deal and went with it instead of new. I am very happy with the truck and the deal I got.
