Mine has all the metal decals drilled into the body.
Some dealers will screw or pop rivet their metal dealer emblems on vehicles. I didn't know they still did that. You used to see it on 50's and 60' vehicles quite a bit...usually on the truck lid.

if my dealer had have done that, they would have been ordering me a new truck, or $10k extra discount... their choice...

i went to the dealer a few days before it arrived and told them NO DEALER BADGES on it [licence plate frames were ok though..]

i took off the cummins badges by hand and spend like 30min each removing the glue off the paint... i then got a pinstripe wheel from napa for like >$10 [cdn]

the rest of the badges were off in about 45 min.. all you have to do is get the badge off, then use the wheel to grind the adheasive off... works great, just make sure the paint is clean around the area you are grinding at, then a little wd40 to take off the last little bits of goo, then just a quick wash...

now if a pro was at it, 30min seems like something that could be done for all the badges..
ERASER WHEEL, BABY!!

Had my badges off in about 30 min.

Badges? WE DON'T NEED NO STINKING BADGES!!

Thanks guys for making me feel old. The cars I normally work on are pre-70s.

I assumed that these were mounted the same. Guess that's what you get when you assume things.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll probably remove mine now that I know they are just glued on.

James Lucas, I sure like that clean look.

I want to remove mine because I dislike chrome.

I have a black sport package and the chrome emblems clash. And I am still trying to find a good replacement grill to take out the chrome billet thing that I have.

Now that you mention it I don't like the "old style" emblems anymore. They date the truck. Hmmmmmmm. Would be cool for people not to know what you have under da hood.

Maybe put a Hemmi emblem on it!

Nice looking rig! Black looks great clean.
