Another ABS light thread

Ok so my ABS light and Brake light came on a few months ago and i'm finally getting around to fixing it. When it first happened the lights would come on intermittently but now they are on solid. I scanned the computer and it gave a code for thr right front sensor and rear diff sensor. I ohm checked both sensors and the left front sensor too. None of them were open. All the fuses were good and my speedo works to. The only changes made to the truck before the light came on was biggerr tires a couple hundred miles before the lights first started coming on.

My truck did that before the front unit-bearing died. The overheated bearing cooked the ABS sensor.

I guess it could be a warped tone ring throwing the sensor off.

Anyone have a diagnostic tree for the abs light? I don't want to throw parts at it till the light goes off. Maybe I should just go and buy the dang shop manual....

just happened

I was on my way home today and both my ABS and Break light came on and stayed on. In the past few months my truck has been "talking" to me, a ding hear and there. Sometime after 5 mins of driving and sometimes after 45 mins. I have only barely caught the Break or ABS light flash once and that was it. I have also noticed my tachometer and my speedometer sticking some, but not for more then a few seconds.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

A few months ago my brake light and ABS light came on all the sudden. Then they would come on intermittently. I took it to my local shop. They scanned and said it was the rear speed sensor. He crawled under the truck...did something, and cleared the code. They haven't been on since.
