Almost out of drivetrain warranty.....Anything to look for?
Dumb question, but I'm at 35k mi right now. Truck runs like a dream, just want to make sure I'm not missing anything I can get covered under the chassis warranty. Truck had the steering box replaced when it was almost new (prev owner). Brakes look good although a little more wear than I expected for a HD truck being run on the hiway as a grocery getter, compared to my '02 DMax anyway.
Tires wearing fine, don't suspect any ball joint or tie rod issues are impending.
No Mega Cab driveline vibrations.
Anything else to look for before I hit the magic 36k miles?

If you take it to most shops they might have a 100+ point inspection for a few bucks. Might be worth it. Play with the air vent to see if the blend door seems to be doing alright. Not sure if you have had to use the AC or not but also good to check to make sure the cooly is good. Just rolled over 36k myself and have started praying...

I am also sitting at 35K with an 07 5.9.
The two things I noticed on mine was the padding on the back of the driver seat appears to have folded over or shifted or something. I cant feel it, so it is only cosmetic however the dealer is replacing the back of my seat (little more than I was expecting but not gona complain).
The biggest thing though was I noticed a small amount of air comming out of the floor vents regardless of the position controll.
Dealer replaced my evap housing ... still didn't fix the problem, in fact now when I set the controll to floor it also blows out the defrost vents. Taking it back as their fix didn't fix. Not only that but when the tech removed my dash he gouged my stearing wheel. They are replacing that as well.
I would say the biggest things to look at are your Ball joints upholstery and AC.

Thanks for the tips. A/C works good. Just used it for the first time this year, last weekend. There is always some air coming out of the floor vents, but given teh issues some have had with the HVAC doors, etc, thats ok, mine's not broke so I'm not gonna mess with it. It switches from def to vent to floor pretty well.
Seat's are fine (unless they'd replace them with leather at my request ).

The MC rear vent system is kind of a joke and just isn't designed right or well. I had them mess with mine several times, and it is put back the way it originally was because everything is just a band-aid or trying to put lipstick on a pig. I count my lucky stars that they didn't jack up more things than they did messing with it.

Took mine in for a steering TSB and came out with new upper & lower balljoints at 29000 miles. Might have them check all including if 4x4 front U-Joints.

There is a thread either on this forum or on the turbodieselregister forum that covers that topic.
There is a certain ammount of play allowed. You pretty much jack up your truck and check the movement of the joints by pushing/prying on your tire.
If I remember correctly you are looking for vertical play in the lower and lateral play in the upper. Don't quote me on that, will try to locate the thread.
