Air Bag Disarm Switch - Possible to retrofit into a quad cab?
Does anyone know if it is possible to retrofit the disarm switch that comes in the regular cab truck into a quad cab? The wire harness is there, it's just not plugged into anything. I am curious because there will be times when my daughter will need to ride in the front seat and I want to be able to turn the passenger side bag off.

I have done it. It was a little tricky 4 years ago as i had to give dodge a vin # for a std cab in order to get "permission" to buy the part. I had to get a letter of approval from the NHTSA for the dealer to Reflash the truck w/ the DRB to recognize the new switch. I was fortunate to have a friend(Bob4X4) who borrows a DRB and he reflashed my truck for me for free (thanks again Bob for all you have done for me over the years) Thus rendering the approval letter unnecessary. The install itself was a 5 minute job and the switch was like $25 or so. I don't think getting the switch is as hard as it once was.
It is worth the effort. Just ask my 10 yo (at the time)
Now he is 14 and loves to drive the truck off road.
