Aftermarket Ball Joints

Guys, Thought I'd post the part number for Moog Adjustable Upper Ball Joint for 03-05. Greasable, adjustable, and Moog. Part #K7448. I just replaced all ball joints at 131k miles for the first time. They weren't shot but they were on the way out and I did have a driver side Hub U-Joint gone so figured time to getter done. Could have gotten aftermarket lowers but the originals were still ok so why change when something works. All 4 were about $440. the Front Hubs were still good, not ok, but good...at 131k miles. I guess the moral of the story is don't pressure spray under the truck too much. Poor truck is lucky if it ever gets washed and has only seen wax twice. ks

Did you have play in wheels when up on Jacks? Both wheels will move in and out slightly with back and forth pressure on mine. Wondering if I have a bearing problems or bad ball joints. Did a visual and everything is tight behind wheels and no movement back there when wheels rocked in and out.
Completely stock. 50k mi.

When up on the hoist there was a bit of play in the top ball joint and a little bit of play in the lower ball joint. Truck was tracking straight, No DW, No vibe other than ujoint, so play in steering. If it wasn't for my alignment guy who doesn't do ball joints I'd have never noticed. He is top notch and wouldn't lie to me to get at best another $45. If the dealer told me the ball joints needed replacement I'd take it to him for the honest opinion. ks
