Adding fog lights to 06 that didn't come with them.

I have an 06 2500 4wd. It didn't come with fog lights but i noticed the wires/plugs hanging from the harness. What would I need as far as brackets/ lights/ wiring. I know I could build something but wondered if there were a kit to make it easy and like factory.

Try searching here. I remember someone also doing this and IIRC they posted up part numbers. It was probably a year ago or so and searching might take a while but I'm pretty sure it's here.
Or try the dealer first and see what they tell you.

Ebay has the kit for around $200. I found one on C-list for $100, I think they would be cheaper than the dealer.

Dealer is about $200. Instructions say to have them enabled, meaning they shut off when the high beams are on. Just install em and keep on keeping on.

Make sure you look up the complete kit with new switch. Some kits only come with the lights.

Bought my kit from the dealer in '08. Don't remember what it cost back then, but I think it was under $150. The dealer tried to tell me they wouldn't work without them "enabling" the truck. I said no thanks, just give me the kit. It does need to have the switch also. Took me a little over half an hour, and two beers to install. If you bypass the dealer's enable thing, the fog lights will work with both high and low beam. It's nice to have that, but be aware that it's illegal to have fog lights on with high beams. I don't do that running around town, but out in the middle of nowhere, the extra light is nice!
