MikeyB, What type of thread sealer did you use? I just got back from Lowes with all the hardware. I got some liquid based, but I have some tape also. I'm just not sure which will work better with the high temps. I'm gonna try to take pictures to post for step by step of the process.

Used the teflon tape. I did not do the crossover, because I ran out of room. I just did two ball valves, one on each hose. My future plan is to get two threeway diverter valves and do a crossover that way. If I had to do it over again, I would do it that way.
BTW- the air is MUCH colder coming out of the vents. It is only about 80 degrees outside, so I can't give it a good test yet, but I will post it when I do. I will also post the temp differences then to. Thanks for all the advice.
