No problem, you are actually supposed to turn the can upside down (as much as possible) when you are charging the system, and shake it up a bit when you release the button to check the charge.

Ok cool I have been shaking Ill put it upside down real quick and see. Also I dont have a button on mine just a gauge. The air coming out of the vent is still blowing hot. I know I had freon in it too, cause when I pushed in the little thing some came out.

You will definitely notice a difference when it gets a charge-when mine got to about 20psi it made a world of difference, and the ac was finally blowing ice

Are you sure there is no button on the can? I got mine at the local wally world and it came with a cap over the button, but it still had a way to release the charge from the can.

WOW!!!! ITS COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD IN HERE!!!!!!
Now I feel really stupid. I didnt unscrew the needle thing so no freon was coming out of the can. I havent ever had to do it before and the last time I saw it done was when I was 5 or 6 and watched Daady do the Chevy Malibu with a diesel.
Thank you again everyone. When I finally figured out what I was/wasnt doing right I put it on and the gauge maxed out, who knows how many 100 psi it was reading. Thanks for telling me to just wait it out and let in stabilize, man I was FREAKED the helll out, but alas it now is sitting at 35 psi and 57 degrees in my truck. WHOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!! DTR ya done it again, thanks. Donation coming as soon as I get this new job finished up.

DTR's 'Go to Guy'
That was going to me my advice as well! ^^ usually I can hear the compressor start to knock a little then I turn the can right side up again. Then I just go back and forth until the rest is out, but it sounds like you got it all done! Good job!

Hey guys, I just charged my system but on the can I have it says the pressure should be 45-55 pounds if the ambient temperature is 100+. I charged mine to 50 pounds and it is blowing nice and cold, but is this too much pressure. I did just as the can stated. When I hooked the hoses up it was already at 30 pounds but blowing warm air. At 50 pounds it's cold. What do you all think?
