I would remove the seat entirely to identify the problem. It's possible to remove the upholstery and cushions while its still in the truck but I think its easier to remove the chair completely first. IIRC its only 4 bolts holding it to the floor and 2 bolts to attach to the center section. Used working power seat units go for about $150 at salvage yards.

Most of the time when the seat motors fail to move the seats,it is due to the plastic gears within shearing off. There are two ways to remedy this common issue. One is to replace the entire seat base/ track assembly equipped with new motors riveted to it through the dealer. The base can cost from 475.00 to 585.00 from the dealer. An online Dodge parts wholesaler such as Allmoparparts.com is a good option as well.

The other method is to replace the individual motors by purchasing them from 2 men 1 garage. This is the most cost effective method that is easy to do yourself. Here is a link for your review. http://2men1garage.com/shop/category...aram=cid%3D%26

A buddy of mine used the 2men1garage motor for his '06 power seat and said it worked great.

Mike, that`s a bummer. I still have not fixed mine yet. Thinkin about a 2x4 instead of plastic gears!
Been busy doin ball joints this week end.
