48RE - 3.73 or 4.10

Which ratio would be best? 35 inch tires will be installed. Also what are some cruising speeds? I know my NV5600 is 60 mph around 1700-1800. Thanks Wes

I Agree with hounddog.

I have 3.73, but I'm not getting anywhere close to the gvwr & I'm planning on keeping stock tires on it.

4.10's, Hands down winner with the 48re. If you plan on pulling really heavy get the 6spd!

What are some cruising speeds with 4.10s?

I looked up the OD ratios for the tranny,

the 48RE is 0.69
The 5600 - 0.73
the 4500 - 0.75

So im leaning with the 4.10s, with the 35s, pulling my truck and trailer to pulls with be the best. Wes

With the stock tires and 4.10 axles, at 2000rpm I am going exactly 65mph. At 70 I am turning 2150 I think.

There is a great website for doing all the calculations your interested in.

http://www.1010tires.com/

Go to the tech section where all the calculators are.

Hope this helps
