3rd Gen Laramie Owners in here..
Kind of an unusual request. I don't have my owners manual for my laramie, and I want to program the buttons above the info center to open my garage, but all i have to work with is the owners manual from my 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Could anyone scan the pages in their owners manual and post them up so that I can follow them? MUCH appreciation!

Don't have a scanner but here goes:
1. Press and hold the 2 outer outer Homelink buttons, and release only when the indicator light begins to flash (after 20 seconds). DO NOT hold the buttons for longer than 30 seconds and DO NOT repeat step one to program a 2nd or 3rd transmitter to the 2 remaining buttons.
2. Position the end of your hand-held transmitter 1-3 inches (3-8 cm) away from the Homelink buttons while keeping the indicator light in view.
3. Simultaneously press and hold both the Homelink button that you want to train and the hand-held transmitter button. (DO NOT RELEASE THE BUTTONS UNTIL STEP 4 HAS BEEN COMPLETED)
4. The Homelink indicator light will flash slowly and then rapidly after Homelink successfully receives the frequency signal from the hand-held transmitter. Release both buttons after the indicator light changes from the slow to the rapid flash.
5. Press and hold the just trained Homelink button and observe the indicator light. If the indicator light STAYS ON CONSTANTLY, PROGRAMMING IS COMPLETE, and your device should activate when the Homelink button is pressed and released.
(NOTE: To program the remaining two Homelink buttons, begin with Step 2. DO NOT REPEAT STEP 1)
Hope this helps,
Jim

If your garage door has rolling codes (like most new ones), that will not work and what you must then do is press the "smart learn" or some similarly labeled button on your garage door motor and within 30 seconds press the desired Homelink button for 2 seconds. Repeat pressing the Homelink button for 2 seconds again and it will be programmed. Occasionally you will need to press and hold a third time.
This is what I have had to do for all of my garages since they are all rolling codes.
Good luck!

Well after I cleared the codes by holding down the 2 outer buttons, I attempted to "learn" the internal button by holding them both down at the same time, and the indicator light WENT OUT instead of blinking which was wierd. Maybe the battery in my transmitter needs replacing? I'll try that tomorrow.
I have already programmed my Grand Cherokee Limited with this rolling code garage door, so I wasn't flying totally blind, it was just that I had an info center helping me with the Cherokee...
