3500 to SUV Conversion
Does anyone out there do truck to SUV conversions. Centurion used to, but I guess they don't do that any more. My Excursion is OK, but eventually, it will have to get replaced. Nobody offers a real SUV (w/ a diesel) anymore. Ideally, would start w/ a quad/maga cab 2500/3500 w/ a long bed and add a 3rd seat. and have an enclosed cargo area.
Kind of what ford would be doing if they still made the Excursion (but with out the flame thrower option ).

LMAO LMAO LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have thought about this idea a lot and it would be really sweet. If even one mfg. would make it, they would own the "outdoorsman" and "family travel" market.
I think it should be called RAMbuncious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always wondered how difficult it would be to find one of these in Mexico with a bad motor/tranny and do a Cummins swap out of a wrecked 2nd Gen 12v. Add a 3rd row seat...

You can bring vehicles in from Canada, not sure how you bring one in from Mexico (other than the one I own, of course ).

I know it would be cool - couldn't agree more. My Excursion has been a fantastic truck. At 132K miles it has plenty of life, but when it starts getting close to 200K, my wife will want something newer. I keep trying to convince her that if I go through a good PM program on it, that at 200K it will be more reliable than anything I could buy. Nonetheless, I know that I will end up losing that argument. So, I have to slowly start looking for a Ramurban!
