315's on stock wheels?
will 315's fit on stock 17x8 alloy wheels(sport pkg wheels) or should i go with a aftermarket set? will the 315's clear stock suspension on a 04.5 2500? i want to run these for a while till i get the money to put a 5" or 6" lift to run 37's thanks in advance guys

They will fit the stock rims. The only problem you may run into is they may not fit the truck without a leveling kit. It seems each truck is different, I needed a leveling kit to stop the rub and bump, some guys had no problems.
Have your tire shop do a test fit, you might be one of the lucky ones.

I think I could have cleared my 35's without the spacer on my truck last year. It would have been close, but I think it'd have worked, so the 315's ought to be ok.

I have the 315s on stock 17x8s. I have a 2" Leveling Spacer on mine, but I believe mine would clear easlily without the 2" spacer.
I have looked with full lock both directions and seems to be plenty of room even for hard bounce.
The stock rims have the back spacing that provides the most clearance in the fender well. Aftermarket rims with different back spacing will most likely require lift kit to clear the same as stock.

I have 315s on my truck with no leveling kit or spacers. There are pictures in my member's gallery.
They didn't rub at all until I installed the new front bumper. The new bumper is a little heavier than the stock unit
Now they rub the control arms at full lock. I will be putting a leveling kit on it to stop this.....

Take a look at Nitto Terra Grappler 295/70 R17 . They should not rub at all if some guys are running 315/75 R17 stock . They are rated at 3195# @ 65psi. 33.19 inches tall , 12.13 width .
