What are the pros/cons of the in-tank retro version compared to the cannister mounted pump?
Obviously the cannister mounted pumps were a major problems, but did the in-tank version cure the fuel delivery problems (and make the truck more reliable)?

Very few failures posted anywhere on the intank pump.Also if it fails(intank)its designed so the CP3 can still draw fuel and not leave you dead in the fast lane or at 3am.The engine mounted pump will.

I've read that the intank pump needs cooling from the fuel and it's not good to go below 1/4 tank and that they still aren't enough for serious hp. It's hard to get to and expensive if it goes out. An aftermarket frame mounted pump solves all of that. Craig

Since Im still new to diesels, can you go TOO BIG on a rail mount pump? I know you can get a 255lph inline frame mount pump for pretty cheap from the Mustang sites. Is there a preferred amount of fuel pump desired? 155lph? or as much as you can get??
