2nd road trip - 2 issues
I've got a thing for unexplained rattles, squeaks and other annoying noises. I've noticed some now over my two trips:
1. Center console latching mechanism (I think) rattles. I keep the console flipped up generally and it's driving me crazy. Anyone have this and been able to fix it simply? If not, it's back to the dealer for a new one!
2. A pronounced ticking noise when using the cruise control. Works 4.0, but ticks. Ticks louder at the top of a hill, when the throttle starts backing off. It's like there's a little mechanical computer in there counting off the fuel pulses or something. Annoying as hell!
I also have a door speaker vibration, but I can look into that myself and it only does it with strong bass tones.
Anyone else?

mine too i heard if you take the door off and apply a sprip of the raised rubber with tape on the other end to where the door hits the panel that will stop...............
But for the center dash noise.....thats probably pilot injection either that or its another normal diesel noise....
If its coming from the left side corner make sure its not that leaky windsheild there is a tsb for..

I'm glad my truck makes all those nice diesel sounds so I can't differentiate the ticking or rattling from the engine noise.
Friend has an 04 and she's as quite as a car. All you hear is the road noise. Smooth.....but then you have the change rattle, now that's annoying...
