Thanks for all of the pics. I still haven't decided what I am going with, just so many options. I want a taller tire to fill the fenderwell more, are 305/70s about the same height as 285/75s or not. All help is appreciated.

I don't care what the numbers show, I want to know in real life on stock wheels compared to 285/75s.

The 305/70 are a tad wider than 285/75 tire.

BFG's site also lists the diminsions as does toyo. Math will give you the general difference though between the 2 if you don't want to search.

I already looked at BFG's site and they don't show a 285/75/17 or a 305/70/17 so it would be a little hard to get the dimensions from that site. Also didn't find any 305s on toyos site, that is why I am asking people that may be running these specific size tires, not because I didn't search.

goodyear wrangler muds come in 305/70/17 the web site says 34.1 tall so they are .3 taller than the 285/75s. and though they will fit on the stock rims i have seen them and they have that almost to wide for the rim look to them IMHO. and they are loud!

i would stay with either of the two toyos 295/70 or 285/75. they fit the rim well are E rated have good tread life and look good!

just over 2 cents from me......chris

Don't wag your freakin finger at me...

I put the equation up top to help you. Simple math from 8th grade.

Lots of pics posted already and still more questions, do the math it'll get you close enough to real life. What do you want someone to go out and measure them already on the truck squated down ?

I just did it for you... But deleted it here and up top to.

Good luck finding those diminsions, somone will help you.

Hi , love the look of your truck. I have a 2006 mega cab and looking to purchase some bfg all terrains 285/70/17. Just confirming those are the same size in your picture and also if you have a leveling kit installed. Thanks.

The 285/75/17 will look good on stock rims. They fit me better than any other size because they aren`t so wide. There is a chart somewhere ( maybe tires.com?) that shows the height & width. I`ve had 285/70/17`s & they aren`t tall enough.

I have the 285/75s and they look MUCH better than 285/70s. IMO the 285/75s are the perfect size for these trucks and that's what Dodge should install from the factory.....
