285-70/17 BFG AT KO's

I just put these tires on my truck 2day and so far think they look way better than the stockers, I also like the lower hiway RPM's (4:10'S)..

The big question I have is what psi is everyone running these tires (tire shop put them @ 55psi) an empty truck to get the best milage???

I keep mine at the max for best fuel mileage.

I agree keep them at max on the front at least. I keep my BFG 315s max on front and back. Helps mileage and with regular balance and rotating will extend the life of the tires quite a bit. My BFG 315s have 49,000 miles and looks like I might get another 10,000 out of them, 5,000 - 6,000 for sure. That is all I expect out of that big a tire on heavy truck.

62 in the front and 57 in the back! I have tried every different set up and this is what drives the best and gets the best mileage i noticed that if you run the back @ max you are a little jumpy on rough roads with out a load

I run max (65psi) all of the time and rotate every 7500. Mine look new with over 20,000.

Max in rear empty can be a little jumpy, I do have my Rancho 9000Xs set soft (4) while emtpy. Kind of helps smooth it out some.

Great looking tires. The stock michelins on my 1500 will lose traction on slightly damp grass...leaving me driving a winter beater. I might have to look for another set of rims and try out a more aggresive tire. It would also appear that we likely pass each other at the carwash in Beaumont!! Been there 8 years

Mine were $215 each including mounting and balancing at a local tire shop.

No, they are "D" rated, but have the same max load capacity of 3195 lbs. I have them on my truck as well. I love them.

I would run the "D" rated at 5 PSI below max.
