Thats some serious driving. First three year old truck you ever seen with a hole worn in the drivers seat!

Another $230K and it may need service................

Phhhfff, thats nothin for the cummins. Someguys do some hardcore driving. No better rig to put high miles on. No doubt the mighty cummins can handle those miles, now the seats..........

That's nothing, I was in the dealership having some work done and the service writer shows me the records of one of his customers. This guy is a hotshotter and has an '03 with 378,025 miles as of 2-3 weeks ago. I'm sure he's probably closer to 400K as I type this. And this is 379K HARD miles, as guy tows between 10-12K lbs of industrial equipment. Only major work done was to replace clutch at 320K miles.

135,000 now on my 2004!

Only problems so far.................

Left Front Bearing had to be replaced

U-Joints replaced...Don't know why - Went in for a brake job at 90K, said brakes were fine but I should go ahead and replace the u-joints. Said OK...................

Other than that, 135K and still getting 19-22 MPG's. (Depends on which way the wind is blowin' )

.........................135,000 on an '04? No wonder I can't seem to sell the durn thing!!!

I hear ya. I went to test drive a new Liberty CDI and just for kicks had them look at my truck...wow. They offered me $17k for mine, and at the time it had 90-something k on it. It should have been darn near an even trade.

Well, I'm not quite up with some of those guys. Right now I have 248,504 miles on my 03. (bought on Feb. 14, 2003) The difference is that I'm home pretty well every night and sleeping in my own bed, just don't try to find me in the daytime, I'm usually gone.

Hell.................

I got one better than that!

I started looking at Cargo Vans about 3-4 months ago. At that time my truck was just hitting 100K. Had a couple of $18-22,000 offers from dealers on a trade in. I just didn't want to write out that $5,000+++ check to cover the difference.

Again, Hell.... This truck stickered out at $37,000. It has every option available except the Leather Interior. I have also added, what, almost $4,000 worth of extras on it. Also, this truck has been ANALLY maintained. I have every receipt "Logged" in a green ledger that also includes every fuel receipt from the first time I filled it up at 000314. Truck has been washed just about every weekend, and that includes fender wells being scrubbed.

Well, just a couple of weeks ago I called this dealer on this van they had advertised in the PU Trader. Thought I would I go ahead buy with this family discount crap using the discounts to make up that $$$ difference. This dealer was across the Metroplex from where I live. They gave me the ususal "Can't give you a value on your truck until we see it" crappolla. Told them OK, but HEY, I've listed it here with some half-*** decent pictures. Tell me what you think and I may make the trip this weekend to their lot. Over the phone the guy looked at it and said OK, I'll call you back in a little while.

Called back about an hour later and said the best he could come up with is $11,000!!!! Boy did I go off. I almost drove up there that night!! Not to make a deal, but to put them in their place and to drive my baby right up their you know what.

Anyways, his excuse was that once this Dodge passed 100K, it wasn't worth a dime to any dealership. Told him then why when I did my research on what this truck was worth online that the worth was right at my pay-off?? He then told me he goes by the "Texas Black Book". Moron, I have access to that book also and it shows my value a little HIGHER than what my pay-off is!!!

I would have rather been told "We don't want your trade, Thank You for calling", than to be offered a stupid ask amount like that. To me it was rude and obnoxious.

I will never step foot on that dealership and I will gladly tell any member here which Dallas Dealership it was.

I'm in an area where Used Cars out-number New Cars 100 to 1. It is hell getting a decent price for a car/truck you're either trying to sell yourself or trading in. I know it, don't like it, but life goes on.

Oh well, if I gotta drive it to 400K, I will. I know these trucks are hot up in the Northwest and on the West coast. Another Dodge Dealership told me of this site and said I might have luck here. So far, only a request to Switch Mirrors has come from the 23,000 members here. I might try E-Bay, then again I may just put a stakebed on it, new seats, and not worry about getting a cargo van for now.

This truck is worth every penny of my asking price. I just need to find that ONE buyer!!!
