210,000 miles..
yesterday I met and talked to a man who had a 2004 diesel and delivered Jayco units all over the country. He said that Jan of 2004 he had logged 210,00 miles. While we talked his truck was not running but I bet he can't turn it off very often!!

That's a lot of driving! I made an assumption that he logged those miles in 1 year. That's 9.5 hours of driving at 60mph every singe day of the year. Maybe he bought his truck in late 2003.

I wonder if he's the guy with 1,114,000+ on his retired '94? He also delivered travel trailers all over the country. His wife is his co-driver. Shell Rotella flowed through the Cummins' veins the whole way. Several trannies, brakes, tires and such but the head never came off the motor. 210k is a good start. Definately not a novelty on his part. My Hemi will likely be growing tired by then. The Cummins is just getting started...

This guy did say he had a Cummins before then tried a Ford for 6 months but didn't care for it. He also said his wife goes with him on deliveries and drives motorhomes. I work at a dealership and his truck was in for a 6 sp tranny. He had very few problems over the last 225,000 miles and took the tranny in stride. He left the Seattle area headed east, to where I don't know but he took his broken tranny with him...
