20's or 17's?

20's or 17's?
I'm still torn between 305-55-20's, or 305-65-17's.
I have the BW fender flares, and no lift.
Any ideas? I've settled on a Dick Cepek DC-1 rim in black, but just having trouble deciding about size. The 305-55-20 is almost an inch taller, I just don't know if the smaller sidewall will look good. Any help?
Thanks!

the thing to think of is, I guess, what look are you going for, off road or show. 17's are stock size but the 20's look, IMO, very nice. Not as much rubber, but the overall od of the tire helps to keep a nice rim to rubber visual ratio. The 20's will curb a lot easier
theres also something else to consider, well for me atleast, is the extra cost of 20" rubber.....in some tires it makes quite a difference.....but you probably already thought of that...

for me I like less sidewall(20's and 35's) I like this set-up cause it gives a stiffer ride along with better cornering...even more when towing.
I think my 315's with stock wheels feels like a school bus....to much side to side sway.
but it's all personal preffrence and that just what I like...if you go off road a lot I would say get the 17's..

I think if it is a street truck only and just for your personal look preference probably does not matter. I don't know if the 20", 22" and even 24" tire and wheel technology is really designed to deal with off road use.
I personally like as much tire as I can get. Just gives me more options if I go off road or decide to jump a few curbs and go through a couple ditches and fields to avoid highway deadlock.
I like a look that fills the wheel well and personally I don't like most of the 20" and above look. The stock 20s on the 1500s look pretty good, but even those are questionable off road.
I had mostly 4x4 heavy duty chevys before the last two Dodges and they were lifted (4-7") and generally had 15s with 35s" or 18s with 37s or larger.
I guess I am just too old to really like the low profile tire look on a heavy duty truck. Just my .02.

20's if you ask me...
I dont do any off roading, so I went with the 20's...
These are 20" Ultra Goliaths with 305/55/20 Toyo AT's... They ride very nice, no side to side sway at all, corner well, and are not noisy...
So if you ask me, Im gonna say 20's...

What kind of A/T and severe snow rated tires are available in 20in ? Last winter there were lots pickups and SUVs with trendy low profile tires in ditches, going sideways, sliding thru red lights, etc., more than usual it seemed.

I know its not what you asked for but its another option
35's MT's on 18's w/ no lift and no rub, deep snow not a problem.
If 35's are too big for you look into 295's for your 17's and save 20's for 37's
Before, a snow covered driveway with a season full of snow.
After, the snow was so deep I couldnt even open the doors
