2007 1-ton SRW Mega Cab

Hey guys,

I am looking at a 2007 Mega 1 ton SRW 6spd manual 6.7 pretty loaded. It has 28 miles on it. The local dealer put it into its rental fleet on 12-31-07 to get more rebate and incentives from the factory. So, basically it is now a used vehicle but still has all the warranty etc.. I can get it for $33,500. Is this a great deal? Should I keep driving my 04.5 longer (116K) I already have a 6spd and am wondering if I want to shift for 4 more years. I drove the truck and really liked it. I love the room in the mega and I love the exhaust brake. Please give me any insights. I really think it is a great deal. The window MSRP is $48,900

Mike

Sorry, I forgot that it is a 4X4 and the dealer really has no rental fleet. They just did it to get more money from Dodge.

Seems like it selling for the same price as 06 here with more miles, seems like a good deal to me, but what do I know.

I would definitely ask to see the service history which any dealer can get for you. Get the VIN # and PM RatlRatl here. He works at a Chrysler dealer and can run it for you. There were lots of issues with 07s right off the dealership floor. I would bet that this truck had issues immediately and was promptly returned. I may be wrong though...

Click on the "USER CP" tab in the blue line at the upper left of this page. Your profile will appear. On the left side are a couple menus. The second menu down is the Private message menu. Click on "Send message". It will ask you for the member's name. Just type RatlRatl and then a title and message. His name is Chris and he likes helping guys out with this stuff. He's also good to know because he is a wholesale parts manager and can hook you up with great prices on parts...

Do you guys think I am crazy to get another 6sp manual? I have not had one problem in 116K miles on my 04.5. I have 64K miles on my 315/70/17 BFG AT KO that everyone else seems to have problems with.
