Yep, it should be lit when the lights are on.

Thx,it seems logical.I have looked at the 2006 builders guide and the service mannual and owners mannual and cannot find a bulb listing for it.So I guess it is like the bulbs in the heated seat switches and is not replaceable, you need to buy a new switch which sucks big time.Unless I can take the thing apart and find a bulb elsewhere.

Probably those lights on the circuit board that you have to rip apart the entire dash, undo a solder job, resolder a new light and put it all back together.

LEDs have been around long before 2006,they would of never burned out,but then you would never want to buy a new switch from Dodge right.

One of our seat warmer lights is out on our Charger. I swear they (Chrysler parts dept) factor that in. "Well if we have a bulb integrated into the switch, the customers will HAVE to buy a whole new switch for 100beans instead of them spending 3beans at the parts store. We get more money!"

Disclaimer: I'm using beans in place of money. I don't remember the actual dollar amount but I'm making a point

$85 here in Canada for the seat warmer sw. just for the light to come on at night, but that same sw. uses LEDs for the seat heat on indication and still heats the seat ok.I can hardly wait to find out how much the transfer case sw. costs.Like you said probably a little bulb soldered to a circuit board.I have all the tools to do that as I was an electronics tech for years, but its alot of work and then finding an appropriate lamp. What a headache!
