mine was one of the very first 05's made. took it in for the mileage reflash. mine was one of the very last engines available for the reflash. anyway... mine came with the cummins 325/600 but when i took in for mileage reflash the service manager (who is a friend of mine) advised me that it was a software upgrade to the 610 that all of the new 05's have in them.

your's should be a 600 (which should tell you on your window sticker) until you have the software upgrade. this should be no charge from the dealer.

TSB 18 037 04 is the TSB# you need to give them.

hope this helps some

that is what they told me. it is a software upgrade and also adds the extra 10 ft lbs.

maybe someone else will know. i don't see any reason for the service manager to lie since he is a friend. if he wasn't, i might be a little skeptical.

Grizz...
I **** near bought the longbed, as we got this truck to pull a yet to be purchased 5th wheel. Glad I got the shortbox, as it barely fits in the garage with only a couple inches to spare. I know I'll have to get a sliding 5th wheel hitch, but that's a tradeoff I'm willing to make. I know what you mean about gettin' in and goin'. I've got the same fever.

I have the shortbox with the Pullrite Superglide auto slider. Love the turning radius of the truck and the fact it fits in the garage.

The Pullrite makes towing the 5er a no-brainer. If you don't get an extended kingpin on your 5er, don't consider anything but the Pullrite. Even with an extended kingpin, I would still get the Pullrite, but it will cost you about a grand more total than a manual slider. You put $30k-$40k into your truck and will likely drop another $25k-$40k (or more) into your fifth wheel. Don't cheap out on the hitch.

Just my $.02

Neil
