2000 mile road trip
Two of my friends and I took a road trip this weekend to pick up some 32 ford parts. It ended up being 2000 miles and was a lot of fun. We must have got a bad tank of fuel at a BP station in Nebraska my mileage dropped to 16mpg. for that entire tank, otherwise we ave. 21mpg the rest of the trip. Everyone agreed that the diesel was much nicer driving than the Hemi that I had.

If you ever get the urge to go scouting for fresh field finds, Try out here. There are still some 20's and 30' out in the fields and fence rows that are mostly rust free or low rust. I found a 28 Nash body that is low rust, and a 38 IH pu that only has a little surface rust, all steel is absolutely solid, and almost every bolt came apart without breaking!!! They are getting harder to find but there are still some out there. Albuquerque passed a blight ordinance last year and I saw 2 new yards along I-40 that are full of 20's to 60's cars and trucks. Somebody has a gold mine.
