Every now and then mine will read -44 degrees. As soon as I shut off the truck and restart it goes to normal. It ahs happened like three times and I keep trying to remember if there are any similarities or anything to see why it happens.

06's seem overly buggy for the small amount of cosmetic changes that were made.
I mean why should the temp gauges be acting up for the new model year.
I hope Dodge is taking care of you guy's.

Mine liked to read 29 degrees and never change when I first got it and it has happen 3 times since. After I get out on the highway it goes up to normal speed. I thought I saw somewhere that while driving in town the temp won't change much due to the thermostat being in the engine bay.

I am not used to a thermometer that thinks for itself - this one is as accurate as a wet towel. When it works it is reasonable, most times though, it is anything up to 100 degrees cold.
