2 cds stuck in nav. player 2005 3500

my dad has a 2005 3500 and somehow he has stuck 2 cds in his player and they are stuck. he has the navigation system and he said he did it before and the took the stereo out to extract them at a cost of $150. I was wondering if anyone had pics or instructions on removing the player and removing the cds? thank you

One got stuck in my single disc a few months ago. After a day or two of hitting the eject button, it finally came out. It's been fine since.

I'm not familiar with other system. Does it hold more than one CD or were they stuck together when he put them in?

Provided you can see the CDs, you need a tool that is thin, strong, has the ability to hold onto the CD in shear and release easily in tenion; Tape !

Just open the access door, carefully lay the end of some tape on top of the CD, and pull it out. Make sure that you use acoustic grade tape :^)

it is a single disc and he had the navigation cd in and forgot and went and put another cd in. I wanted to just grab it out with something but he is worried it will scrach the lens or break something and my luck is I would and stock cd player isn't so bad but navigation cd player is alot more to replace. if anyone has a link or diagram of how to remove the system without breaking anything let me know thank you

My CD player has done this on 3-4 ocassions now. After turning it on/off and hitting the button several times it will eventually give up the disk. While this is going on it will NOT play the disk either.

I have had a CD occasionally get stuck, but what is odd, all of them have been the "enhanced" cd's. I pulled I was told to pull the fuse and let the unit reset itself

Should be easy to at least get the Radio out of the truck if need be.

Unscrew the only screw at the purse/trash/hat hook. What ever you would like to call it. Then just grab and pull slightly and the center piece should start coming off. It goes all the way over to the steering column. Once out, then just unscrew the 4 screws (phillips).

Warning. Make sure you have your ashtray and cupholder closed (if you have them) as the center console may scratch the outside of them.

take a hammer to it well, i would suggest you not do that, ever since i did the GF insists she is in the shop when i work on my truck. i noticed in my factory and even aftermarket CD unit, the enhanced CDs and the burned CD's will stick or not play right. try pulling that fuse. on my chevy this happened and the dealer fixed it right up, however i dont know how they did it.
