Unhappy 10yr/100,000 mile warranty on paint

hi guys i'm new member here. i would like to share something with all 03 2500/3500 ram owners. i have a 3500 ram and it has a bad paint problem. DC knows about this and sent a letter to all dealers telling them how to deal with it. i bet none of you ram owners were told that you might have trouble with the paint on your ram before you bought it. no way you would have bought it. well guess what all 03 2500/3500 rams have a 10yr/100,000 mile warranty if it is a select ram, buy select, i can only come up with is if you have trouble with paint before your 36000 mile warranty runs out ,your truck is select thats the only thing i can make out of it. and if you or shoud i say if they are lucky and 36000 miles pops up on your truck and something is going on with the paint , it's you baby. my truck started with foggy clearcoat spots and under the clear coat the paint has this funny pattern in it. had my hood repainted two times then they had to take it to bare metal the third time and repaint, because the primer is the problem. now have places on my right front door. letter to all dealers said that select trucks will have a 10yr/100,000 mile warranty, i have a copy of that letter and in that letter it says that all buyers of
03,2500/3500 ram trucks should be told about the 10yr/100,000 mile warranty. in the letter it stated that ppg, the paint manufacture was backing the warranty and DaimlerChrysler was responsible for adminstering the warranty. i have posted that letter and if anyone that fells they need to read it let me know and i will let you know where it is.

Yes I received mine last Sept. and they can't pinpoint the origin. *NOTE: Paint finish concerns other than adhesion failures would continue to be covered by your vehicle's 3 year or 36,000 mile basic warranty.
Contaminated primers that could lead to inter-coat adhesion failure. All Dodge Ram Trucks 2500 or 3500, year model 2003 only. The Warranty applies to any separation of the color coat from the primer coat on any portions of the vehicle which arises during the warranty period set forth above. 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the date of original purchase.
Then there's A-H company loop-holes, some legit. others a tough call, unless you've been through I-car paint school. I'm not too concerned, have'nt seen one yet.

if you got a letter from dc on your paint, you got bad primer, don't need many brain cells to figure that out. i got bad paint and i didn't get a letter and i have owned my truck almost a year. there are tons of them out there that don't know that they have this problem. my dealer talked to DC to ask for help on a trade back and they said there was to many to recall. read my posts on this link.
www.dodgetalk.com i got to ask ya, who wants to look there truck for ten years
to see if the paint is falling off. i'm still working on a way to trade mine without
loseing to much $ $. read all my posts on that link.

For what it is worth there are tons of 2003 Ram diesels up here at the Dodge dealers for sale (Vancouver, Canada area) all have very low Km 30-500 and have not been registered. The salesman told me Dodge had them repainted as they had a problem with the clearcoat. I was dealing on a 2003 Quad SLT 4x4 dualie 275KM premium cloth for about $39,000 CDN dollars. All these re-painted trucks have a 10 year paint warranttee

I ended up with a 2004.5 3500 SLT 600 48RE all options except leather It got 17 MPG on the way home 18.5 MPG last tankful.
Love the truck...
