10th Week and My Truck is on HOLD

Just spoke with my dealer, and my 2003, 3500 SLT 4x4 dually with the SO and auto is on hold. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
He's checking into what options are holding it up. "Typical of new production."
Tenth week and counting!

Poor baby. I feel with you. :P :P<br><br>Seriously, it was color that put mine on hold for 6 weeks. Went to white and it was confirmed in five hours. Hope the dealer can find out what is happening. Maybe they ran out of sombreros at the factory. Mine was too big anyhow (the sombrero, not my head ).<br><br>Hopefully in January. I want to see you smilin'. ;D ;D<br><br>Merry Christmas.<br><br>Bob

what does he mean on hold? Is he saying it is built and they are holding it in containment(status JS)..or is he saying they haven't even started to build it? If it is still in BX, BG, etc, have him cancel it and order yourself the H.O. with the new 48RE automatic trans...in Canada there is only about 500 bucks diff than the S.O. with the old auto(47RE), so I imagine in the USA it would only be around $300 or so....g luck.......btw, the 47RE is on it's way out. We had a bunch on order and DC changed them all up to 48RE's.

MrBilly, I agree with jsr21, re-order HO/48RE. That is what I did on the day my truck arrived at the dealer ??? so you've got lots of time. I don't think they're going into production until January 6th .

I thought I would check with DC Customer service to see where we are with my truck order. The VON given to me at the time of the sale wasn't in their system :'( :'( :'(.
So, I sent my dealer an email, and told him to check this out and get back to me, for I want to change the specs on the truck - even if I have to wait.
