09 for 24K

Found an 09, 6.7, 2WD, Long box. 6 speed, 79,000 miles for 29k. Loaded with everything but leather. It has had a Gooseneck hitch welded into the frame and my 04 is a few months from being paid off. What do y'all think about that deal?

Which cab (mega or quad?) Seems high for a 2wd. For 10k more you could get a brand-new one with a warranty.

That's only 30k mi less than your 04. Doesn't sound like much of an upgrade unless you're looking for a 6speed manual and have an auto, in which case I'd look for a 5.9 6speed.
Is it $24k or $29k, you got 2 different prices. $24k for a lower mi 2wd sounds good. $29k sounds like too much.

24 or 29k? Mine was 38 months old (from build date) with 25k miles and still had warranty which I made use of, big time. I paid $28k and I thought that was too much but I beat up that dealer for 3 days and they wouldn't go lower. Craig

My bad. it's 24K. I'm gonna pass on it. I'm just too close to being paid off and I'm gonna have to somehow cut that welded in gooseneck hitch out to get my 5th wheel hitch put in right.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't welding anything to these frames considered not a good thing?

yes. everytime i see a truck they have done this to i run. the sides of the frame are only 1/8 and the heat burns any rust proffing off the in side of the frame.
