07 horn chirp while locking key fob

I can't seem to turn the horn chirp off the key fob. I'm holding down the lock button for 4+seconds, and pushing the panic button then releasing both at the same time. I was able to do the similar sequence (lock 4+ seconds/unlock/release all for door locking at 5 mph) the first time. The horn is loud and I'm constantly in and out of the truck so I'm sure it is just a matter of time before I get a letter from my homeowners assoc to stop honking my horn.
Thanks for any help,
DK

I turned mine off in my 07 thru the overhead console, I believe there is a personal settings heading that you go to. My lights flash but no horn honk! I did it when I first got the truck so I cant remember the specifics. If this doesn't help I can go mess with mine again and figure it out!

I read all about this, and what it comes down to is - If you have the Laramie overhead, you can turn it of there - If you have an SLT like mine - The 07 computer is different from the 06's and you have to take it to the dealer to have any of the options turned on or off. Contrary to what your owners manual says. I feel your frustration.

I had to have the dealer do it, the guy just kind of giggled when I told him about trying to follow the manual...had them do the PTO/high idle while I was there. Nice not to have the horn!

I already had the dealer program the high idle, so I'll take it back and have them do the horn delete. I notice that the horn is louder on the 07 as opposed to my 05. Slam your hand down on it and it really gets peoples attention.

Got it disabled, the dealer had me go through a list of items that could be changed.
Headlights automatically come on when the wipers are activated
Time that the headlights stay on after I shut the truck off
Time that the acc stay on after I shut the truck off
Time that the interior dome light stays on after I unlock the truck and enter prior to putting the key in the ignition
There were a couple others that I can't think of right now but they were happy to help me out. Oh and no horn chirp.

You have to take it to the dealer as they hook up their computer to the truck and do it all through plug and play. Dealer said the keyfob sequence will work on some trucks but not on others.

I have an SLT and my wife turned off my horn chirp using the overhead. Didn't have to go to the dealer, just asked my wife to do it.

How did you access it on the overhead?

To access it on the overhead you need to have the new EVIC computer I think thats what they call it. My 6.7 bighorn has it but my buddys 5.9 bighorn doesn't.
