04 ignition switch & a/c problems

Replaced ignition switch and connector because of burning now continously having problems with blower motor and other issues, loose connection at switch, used dodge switch and connector but can not get them to keep contact, have pulled apart and tryed to bend terminals to make better connections then a couple weeks later same issue - any suggestions

Mine did the same thing a few years ago. Every time I would turn left the A/C would cut off. It confused the heck out of me and I ended up taking it to an A/C shop. They couldn't figure it out and it went to an auto electronics shop that found a burnt wiring harness inside the steering column. There actually was a TSB in 04 or 05 for this issue. The electronics shop ended up repairing the harness, not replacing it.

It sounds like if you purchased new components from Dodge that you need to go back to Dodge with them and get functioning parts. You shouldn't have issues with brand new connections. Only other suggestion I would make is to possibly use dielectric grease to keep the contact point clean.

There's obviously a lot tied into that harness, so I wouldn't take any chances with it.
