04.5 to 04 wire colors are different...

Does anyone know which wire and what color to tap for the gauge lights on an 04.5? The wire colors on the back of the headlight switch are all different colors then my 04. I would like to tap the one for the dimmer.

Thanks in advance.

I believe its the lower inside one if I remember correctly. Easy to check with a 12v probe at the switch. Wish I could remember the color but old age has set in.

Scotty,
I am not sure of the dash configuration on the 04.5, but if there is a cup holder tray or even a cigarette highter the lights in these dim with the dash lights. I know that the double cup holder has a light in it that dims with the dash lights and is very easy to get out, just pop it out and check the color of the "+" lead with a metre or test light.

Thanks for the replies.
I will do the cup holder route as I know how that comes out...LOL
I have had the dash of the 04 and the 04.5 apart several times working on my gauge projects.

I was talking about the wire at the switch dimmer. The switch is so easy to pull. If your using the storage compartment for your install then I guess the other area works better. Good luck.

Yeah I knew that...was referring to the cup holder wire for the lights...however, if its the middle wire on the lower group of wires...thats easy to get at too. Thanks! I have the A pillar SRT-10 and a custom pod to test.

Slow as usual. Between getting elected as chairman for the world strength council and getting production of the Scotty Air and Ram air 3 up to a better volume, I have actually worked on it to the point of forming some prototypes. I am finishing up the shaker hood first, then the gauge projects. I have to be in Montana with the shaker hood for a magazine article on July 13 and after that its all about the Scotty Eyes.

I would venture to guess August for a release date.

These have nothing to do with the A pillar. I have the SRT 10 pillar in my truck until I have the prototype Scotty Eyes done.
I will post info asap.
