'03 Prices Drop Fast
;D For those of you waiting for a better deal before you invest in an '03 - the deals are here. ;D
Don't know about other regions, but in our market here's the current status (dealers retaining rebates):
'03 2500 ST CTD Quad 4x4 5-speed
MSRP = $34,440
Currently = $29,765
'03 3500 SLT CTD DRW Quad 4x4 Auto
MSRP = $44,125
Currently = $38,697
'03 2500 SLT HO CTD Quad 4x4 6-speed
MSRP = $39,045
Currently = $34,279
Dealer lots here are full. Of the 3 biggest Salt Lake Valley dealers - one has 70 CTD's, another 80, and another 90. I targeted 4x4 prices 'cause here in The Rockies less than 10% of HD trucks sold are two-wheel drive.
I still predict that, by the end of the current Dodge incentive cycle (officially ending Dec. 4th), Dodge will offer either 0% interest or $2,000 cash.
The bad news is, it's probably THE WORST time to try and get the value out of trade-ins I've ever seen.
Best to y'all
Bill

Re:'03 Prices Drop Fast
UTAH,
I have to admit that having the rebate go up to $2,000 would make the wait a lot more bearable ;D "Smoke" is still KZ. The morning/day shift at DC Customer Service keeps insisting the truck is still being held at the factory for Quality Control reasons while the Afternoon/evening shift insists it was at Veracruz on the 14th ;D And of course the dealer doesn't have a clue ??? Guess it will get here when it gets here. :P
On the bright side, I just sold the GMC for $2,500 more than what the dealer had offered That helped my mood this weekend. Latter,
The Boss Hog

UTAH, any idea how these compare to Factory Invoice prices? Sounds like they are pretty close or below.

I was thinking about an '03 but then pretty much decided to keep my current truck. If 0% financing comes along, I will seriously reconsider.

Vaughn

Yeah, Vaughn - They're pretty much at invoice, that's becoming the standard here. Heck, if they'll do 0% on top of that - how can ya lose? ;D

Best to y'all
Bill

Re:'03 Prices Drop Fast
I got mine at invoice 3 weeks ago. There was also a 500 regional discount (northwest) and the 1000. If you have a month before purchase then go down and pay your 50 bucks to get the Farm discount. They wont give it to you unless you have been a member for 30 days. I tried to get it retro like I did with my last truck and was SOL.
