'03 front door wind noise
When I first got my '03 I complained to DC about the front door wind noise. Now I see they have re-designed the weather strip on the front doors to chanel wind and rain away from the door on the '07. I went to the dealer and he knew nothing, no answers for any question I had, a real pin head. To me, it looks like the new molding will work just fine but thought I might ask if anyone has upgraded to the new style that has a hard plastic wind deflector where the front door meets the windshield?

If I remember right, there was a TSB for this a while back. I am interested in a replacement seal set too. Everytime I drive in strong wind, especially with my slide-in camper in the bed, the wind noise is bad. Most is due to camper deflecting wind down onto the cab, but even without the camper, I sometimes hear it.

I asked the dealer about TSB's on this and he said there were none. If I where as incompentent (dumb) as some of these guys at the dealers I would never be able to afford one of these trucks.

My dealer did the same, and with the same results..Better, but not perfect. With the camper mounted, strong cross winds actually pull the door away from the seal. Here is the TSB the dealer used:TSB 23-049-05

Thanks for the TSB# Jetboat, I can't find it anywhere. Is there a suite it is detailed at? Want to go to the dealer prepaired. They will say anything.

DTR's 'Go to Guy'
When they look up the old part number from the parts catalog there is a supercedence narrative that give the new updated numbers and advises to order both sides. No tsb that I could find for this particular problem.

I am looking into replacing the A-pillar molding with new '07 type. It has a wind deflector added to it that runs up the sides of the windshield. Has any one done this? It would be nice to know it can be done, dealer is no help.
