Its been discussed MANY times on this site.Be surprised what you might find using the SEARCH function.Besides 85% of the PARTS guys don't have a clue about it.Techs and parts people that have been doing it a while are aware(usually) Like daytime running lights. Its in options/country's and just need to be turned on.Ford told me my 06 Marquis has to have this and that for them to work.I don't believe it.Never pursued it further with Ford.Wife wanted DTRL.

I cant believe this post has gone on for three days and no one else brought this up, but they can be bought from the dealer for around $30 (for both switches). When I bought mine they were PN#56049379AC -$16.50 ,and the other switch was PN# 56049378AD -$14.35.No shipping, just add sales tax, total was $33.32 including tax. This was Dec of 06,but I doubt that they have over doubled since then.

You've seen fuel prices increase by over $1 per gallon over the last year, right?

I'm not saying that's the only cause, just a major contributor.

Clark Howard (Moneytalk Radio show) said that fraud claims are off the charts nowadays at ebay

I regularly buy stuff from Ebay. You just have to know who you are buying from, and shop prices to make sure you are getting a deal. Normally you can find what you are looking for cheaper on Ebay than retail. Add it the cost of driving to Harbor Freight (25 miles is the closest), and it's not worth driving over there. I can find the same tools or gadgets for the same price with shipping, or less, and have a guy in a brown truck bring it to me. I think you just have to get comfortable using it, and use it for what it's worth.

I've only gotten hosed on Ebay twice in 10 years of using it. Once I sent a money order, never got my $40 blue toth headset (Lesson, paypal only). The second time I purchased an alpine processor for my truck stereo for $280 from an individual, he never sent it. I disputed thru paypal and they gave me back the max of $200, so I lost $80 (lesson, call individuals and speak to them before payment. If they won't give phone number don't pay). I've saved plenty using ebay, so the two shaftings aren't the end of the world. Make sure the feedback is solid for the seller before you bid. For businesses anything under 1,000 and I won't use them. For individuals under 20 all positive over a couple of years seems to be ok, but call them.
