Brother just got the delete pipe and H&S XRT tuner, installed everything (delete pipe) last nite, runs great. Question is, can this tuner be used for factory stock (DPF on stock exhaust)? Reason I ask, is in the instructions, 2 pages tell you how to do the programming, for the delete setup, choosing (Stock, mild, wild,or hot) he would be happy with the stock setting, looking for MPG's, and currently has is set on stock setting. But when you turn to the next page, it explains how to return vehicle to stock (DPF back on, for like taking back to dealer warranty work) It says to put dpf pipe back on and use the stock setting. If using the stock setting when pipe is removed, will it still put the truck in regen? Or do you have to start at the mild (40hp) setting? He bought the delete pipe and tuner as a pkg, so were thinking its already for dpf removal. He has no cel, showing up.

Thats what I was thinking also, its a pretty easy programmer to work with, but I'm alittle confused on the stock setting. So brother is running on mild 40 hp mode

Probably a better way to go for your bro anyway. I started all this for the same reason as well and just wanted to get rid of the EGR and DPF as I was happy with stock power/performance and would welcome the additional MPG.

However, after running around on the SW3 and extra HP, with the good MPG and such, it would probably be like trying to quite smoking (if I was ever a smoker in the first place). No pun intended.
