what is your favorite smarty level?
I just got my smarty, installed it on sw3, everything else is set to default. I'm impressed by the power, but want to know what you guys like the best. best power, best mileage, and most driveable

level 3 seemed to be pretty good for me with my stock clutch on my 06. didnt notice any slipping untill i let a novice of the standard trans give it a try. Dont let any body shift from 2nd to 5th gear or you might need a new clutch haha. Now i got an a reason to do the single mass fly wheel conversion i guess. fuel millage seemed to have gone up about a mile or so per gallon on levels 1 - 5. dont have any hand calculated numbers yet. will play around with the smarty a bit more when i upgrade the clutch.

Haven't ran it any higher than SW3
I want to get more mods in place, namely studded head and built tranny.
I just know Im gonna break something if I dont.

I followed the Mads suggestion and I leave the Smarty on Catcher Level 3 with all other items set to default also. I tow a 5er and all I was looking for was improved fuel mileage and eliminating the regens. I am soo happy now.

I run SW3 mostly with tq on 3 , the rest on 2. I like the response of the throttle on tq3. I can feel its too much for the Torque converter if I really get after it. I tried SW5 but didn't notice much difference really but dropped the tq to 2. For towing this summer I will probably have it on SW3 with all set to default (2).

whats the difference in mileage between sw1 and sw3? I know it depends on your right foot but if you keep it normal does it suffer alot?

I tested and tried all sorts of combinations. I found SW5 to be too advanced in the timing dept even with options at default. SW7 was fun but I know thats for a different driving preference then what I need right now.
SW3 and defaults except VGT on 3. Ran SW3 towing lots...no egt issues or trans issues.
EGR cools the cylinders, remove that and add power...timing and rail pressure 'could' create added heat that we cannot monitor in there.
I have had the opportunity with over 80K miles on the Smarty to settle with SW3 but I may try SW1 for mpg on my next trip.

I've never even bothered with SW1 as SW3 has a nice boost in power and I attained efficiency over pre-S67 and so I am having my caking and eating it too!
