The first question you need to answer is, in what state do you live in. We can than advise you on how to delete. Some states do emission checks both testing and visual inspection.
I have included the SEMA list of the emission testing by state, gas vehicles are listed first than diesel vehicles.

i live in Louisiana and there are only a few parishes that require emission tests. and those do not pertain to diesels. ive used smarty on plenty of the 5.9s in the past but i would just like some advice from someone who has a 6.7 that has done the deletes.

I am using the Smarty S67 with the ME23 software installed. This is set at CaTCHER level 3, with all parameters set to default, except Torque Management which is on level 2. I have a MBRP 5" TBE with a 6" tip, EGR blocking plates installed and the EGR cooler is still on the truck. I have had been this way since Aug. 09, with 21,600 miles on the OD. I now have 51,000 miles on the OD and have been trouble free. My fuel mileage has improved by 4 MPG over stock regardless if I am towing my 5er or not. My oil changes use to be done every 3,500 miles, due to fuel dilution in the oil. I am now doing them every 7,500 with less than 1% of fuel dilution, by volume and less than .1% of soot, by volume in the oil.

I believe the software is now up to ME28. Which I think the latest updates were to allow for improved DTC management for Cab&Chassis trucks.
Good luck.

If you don't have to worry about emmisions testing, the do the full deletes. If you have to like me, then do the basics and keep the parts you removed to put back on when needed. Smarty and H&S are good programmers.

Opinions...

Lets see...

1. Louisiana is the best state ever.
2. Im the smartest person in the world.
3. Im pretty darn good looking.

Oh wait, not those opinions.

Smarty or H&S. Had a Smarty on my 08. It was a great tuner.

Went with H&S for other reasons on my '11. Its just as good as the Smarty.

No, havent ran across him. We are up here for Shell. Tested all the welders on this spread. Michels is the contractor. Lot of work around this way though, all across the state.

Don't believe him!

1. Louisiana is proof that evolution CAN go in reverse.

2. He fell out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down.

3. He's so ugly, when he goes into the bank, they turn off the surveillance cameras.

1. Still waiting on the Smarty to even hit the market, they are way way behind on development.

2. Customer support. Lately its been non existent from MADS/Wagner & Assc. I tried for weeks to get Bob on the phone/email with no luck. H&S is always there, and always willing to listen and help out with whatever your concerns are.

hmmm. well service after the sale will always make a sale. if this was a 5.9 i would think twice to tuning it. the emissions bull is what really urks me. you gotta spend another 400 bucks for the exhaust and and deletes, thats if you changing the whole exhaust system. you can get buy with just deleting the cat and filters for and egr for like 250. and ive used smarty in the past but im leaning to something with an out look monitor.

Yeah. Ive actually talked with several Cummins reps back when all this took place in 07. Trust me, they were no happier putting this crap on the 6.7 than you are having to take it off.

Thank the EPA and CARB for that one.

MiniMaxx might just be right up your ally.
